Black Water Rods – Limited Lifetime Warranty**

Black Water Rods proudly stands behind every fishing rod we build. We warrant to the original purchaser that each rod is free from defects in workmanship and materials provided by our company for the lifetime of the rod, under normal fishing use.

What this warranty covers:

  • Defects in our hand craftsmanship, including but not limited to: thread wraps, epoxy finishes, handle assembly, guide placement/alignment, and overall structural integrity attributable to our build process.

  • This applies only to the original owner who purchased the rod directly from us (non-transferable).

What this warranty does NOT cover:

  • Breakage or damage caused by misuse, abuse, accident, neglect, improper care, excessive force, snags, stepping on the rod, transportation damage, theft, fire, or any other non-fishing-related incident.

  • Normal wear and tear (e.g., cosmetic scratches, guide wear from line friction, fading of wraps or finish due to UV exposure).

  • Damage resulting from fishing in extreme or abusive conditions beyond typical use (e.g., high-sticking, using as a pry bar, or battling fish far beyond the rod's intended rating).

  • Failures caused by components not installed by us, such as rod blanks, guides, reel seats, grips, or other parts supplied by third-party manufacturers (these carry their own separate warranties from the component maker, if any).

  • Modifications, repairs, or alterations made by anyone other than Black Water Rods.

  • Consequential or incidental damages (e.g., lost fishing time, travel costs, or other indirect losses).

Claim Process:

  1. Contact us first via email at blackwaterrodsofficial@gmail.com to describe the issue and request a warranty evaluation. Provide:

    • Proof of purchase (receipt/invoice with date and your name).

    • Clear photos of the rod from multiple angles, especially showing the damage/break point, the entire rod, and our logo/serial number if present.

    • A brief explanation of how/when the issue occurred.

  2. We will review the claim and determine if it qualifies under this warranty (typically within [e.g., 5–10 business days]).

  3. If approved as a covered defect in our workmanship:

    • We will repair the rod at no charge, or

    • If repair is not feasible (e.g., irreparable damage from a covered defect), we will replace it with a comparable rod (at our discretion).

  4. If the rod is deemed not covered (e.g., due to misuse or accident), we may still offer a goodwill repair or replacement option at a reduced "no-hassle" fee (details provided upon evaluation).

  5. Customer is responsible for shipping the rod to us (insured, prepaid). We cover return shipping for approved warranty repairs/replacements within the continental US.

Additional Notes:

  • Most manufacturing-related issues appear within the first few months of use. We encourage prompt reporting.

  • This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state.

  • We reserve the right to inspect the rod before final determination.
